Christmas Cookie Day 2009

The weekend snowstorm cookie-baking marathon yielded lots of lovely kiffles like these.

Some ground rules, though, should be set up before the next marathon as follows:

1. Don't drink wine while you're baking cookies.

2. Look at pictures of cookies on the internet. Nothing like discovering an easier method to roll out kiffle dough using squares instead of circles.

3. Use a plastic sandwich baggie to meter out kiffle fillings. You're hands stay clean and you get a nice uniform glop on each square.

4. Take time out to laugh and enjoy the falling snow.
