2009 Retro Calendar

I've been working day and night on a 2009 calendar of some of the cool old appliances and gizmos that I have collected over the years.

What began as a grad school design project turned into a wonderful and educational experience! Photographing chrome items, I found, is a lot more difficult than it looks, but getting the pieces to look like liquid metal was well worth the extra time and help it took to get it right. We built a light tent from an upside-down card table and four white sheets which worked out really well.

The calendar has been printed and it looks great! John at the Minuteman Press in Hatboro, PA, did an excellent job and is highly recommended. I will be selling the calendars for $12 to try to recoup some of the printing costs, but mostly they will be given out as glorified business cards to try to garner some freelance work.

Pictured is the cover showing the thumbnails of each of the months. Hope you like it!
